Fokker 50/Fokker F50 Series 100 Advanced airfile for FS2K Version 4.0

Author: Simon Evans
e-mail: snave@compuserve.com
This version date: 18/01/01

Notes: This is Version 4 of the Fokker 50 and is intended for use with the EF50V20.zip Fokker 50 panel by Espen Oijordsbakken (see below) and this model by Christoph Klose ONLY.
I will happily answer queries about flight or fde performance in this model application ONLY, but before you contact me, please go to the Flight Ops webpage:
http://www.SurClaro.com/flightops
where Matt Zagoren has posted full flight and performance information for this aircraft. If you are using the package with Espens panel, read the detailed operation instructions in the .pdf files.
Performance criteria are checked by a FO who flies _this_ aircraft, so I'm right and you're wrong if there's a performance related question :).

Flying Notes:
As in the real aircraft, trim change is now quite pronounced with flap & gear operation and the take-off setting should be 3 notches up trim (pointer moved down) for 10 degrees flap, 4 for 15. Get it right and she flies herself off. In level flight under a/p control a small nose-down trim element is required - this is normal and a feature of the actual aircraft.
Fuel consumption is within +/- 2 percent in ALL flight regimes, and within +/- 1 percent in cruise and climb.
Climb and cruise performance is within +/- 1 percent in all flight regimes - I'm sorry it isn't more accurate, but I'm still learning.
This air file models a specific Fokker 50 and not all parameters may be valid for other models (see below).

Thanks to:
--------------
Christoph Klose and IADG, for the beautiful aircraft
Steve Small (www.essjay.com) the air file `guru` for his help and guidance
Espen Oijordsbakken for his EF50V20.zip panel (the inspiration for this ongoing project) and to William M Roth for his superlative AirEd FDE available from http://members.dsl-only.net/~eagle/
Oh and Aaron Swindle take a bow for yet another superlative soundset. TPESX2.zip (modified by FKR50snz.zip) specifically for the Fokker 50.
Matt Zagoren for his Flight Ops site and the patience of a saint
A h-u-g-e thank you to Ron Freimuth for sharing his hard-earned information so freely.
And last, but by no means least, to Gaston Roca, test pilot extraordinaire.
